We’re packed and ready to go. Plane leaves at 8 am from KCI. Our United flight will take us to Washington Dulles Int’l and then South Africa Air will take us 16 hours across the Atlantic to Johannesburg, South Africa. After a 4 hour lay over we’ll catch a flight to Port Elizabeth arriving around 7 pm South African Time (8 hours ahead of CST or about 11 am your time.)
Hard to describe the swarm of emotions flooding my heart and mind so I’ll just ask you to pray for
¨ Safety as we travel
¨ Recovery from Jet Lag
¨ Humble, open hearts and minds as we meet our South African friends
¨ A spirit of discovery to explore and understand their context
¨ Sensitivity to listen and learn how we can help
¨ That a father and his sons would have a life changing experience together
¨ That this would generate opportunities beyond our imagination
¨ That this would take you and I on a journey of a lifetime

We’ve spent the last 11 years reaching across the street very effectively and now we get to reach across the ocean to a continent in desperate need. Who knows what God will generate from this trip?
